Hello, I really like the idea for your radio mesh internet project. Do you know about the HAMNET by the austrian and german amateur radio societies? See (Maybe use google translator): https://wiki.oevsv.at/wiki/Kategorie:Digitaler_Backbone It is not interfaced to the traditional internet yet, but the size of the network is impressive.

I have heard about most attempts at free radio coms. All fail at scaling because the hardware is only allowed to be toys. Governments want to keep the 4G for themselves and earn control and license fees. What we need is a 169/433/886MHz multi-homed/filtered radio with enough power, that can receive on many frequencies simultaneously. Also I need to add better comment notifications, now it only pops the last commented article to the top in the list! Saw this 4 months later...
